October 20, 2018, Hamburg-Volksdorf, Germany, Old red motorcycle from Suhl, Thuringia, GDR The SR4 series is part of the bird series and was the successor to the Sr2E. The associated two-wheelers were built between 1964-1975. Many components u.a. Engine, seat, chain case, handlebars with turn signals and switches, wheels, and the electrical system are identical to the KR50 or Schwalbe. On all models it was possible to build a child seat and a trailer hitch. In 1975, the entire SR series was replaced by the visually sportier S50.
